My Comments...

"This photo was created at a small lake in a local industrial park. In reality, the lake is surrounded by buildings. I am always looking for interesting areas that I can use for portraits. Too many photographers and people look for large beautiful areas. Don't get me wrong, I will take a large beautiful area when available. I recently did a bridal portrait session at the bride's grandmother's house. She had a beautiful yard with gardens, picket fences, gazebos, trellis, old homeplace, mountain view, picturesque barn, etc. It was wonderful and I would kill for a studio with all of these features. However you have to make do with what is available. Luckily I have easy access to a large number of parks, beautiful subdivision entrances and landscaped industrial parks that provide many options for my portraits. For this portrait, I wanted the feeling of being in a primitive area by a lake."
