"As Teresa mentioned, I love a variety of facial expressions. Younger girls provide such a wealth of possibilities for posing and props. She absolutely adored her dolls, and I wanted to capture this moment in her life. Teresa or I really liked her serious expression - likely because we were used to getting it. Of course, I created many in which she was smiling as well. Something for everyone. We thought that this portrait captures one of the aspects of her personality."
